ADTECHOPOLY

Before we go any further, I have to say this made me LOL (Laugh out Loud for you tech squares) with an embarrassing level of computer nerd in my throat. I don't care, though. It's awesome. LUMA Partners and the keeper of the ad ecosystem scroll, Terence Kawaja, have done it again. AdTechopoly is supposedly the brainchild of a Twitter conversation between Kawaja (@tkawaja) and Brian Morrissey of DIGIDAY (@bmorrissey).

Anything that helps 'ad' a little humor, if no additional insight, into the eye chart that is the "Display Advertising Technology Landscape" document published by the aforementioned is welcomed. With the landscape changing via M&A, failure and new entrants arriving, it's nice to take a humorous look at some of the steady companies that make this system churn.

Do you see any of the organizations you work with, noted here? I see some friends, coopetitors, frienemies and competitors on here. I have to say, my favorite "property" is the "WSJ.com, Get Featured in 'What they Know' Series" property. I can't help it, I'm a data guy and that struck a bit of a nerve.

Do you think any of the major companies were omitted, and what other properties caught your eye? Check out the actual presentation of AdTechopoly on Terence Kawaja's SlideShare.
